One unique feature of Bucks County is its covered bridges. Bucks County was once the home to more than 50 covered bridges and now there are only 12, 10 of which are open to the public. The covered bridge we are referencing in our design is the South Perkasie Covered Bridge constructed in 1832. It's currently being restored after suffering damage from a major flood. The South Perkasie Covered Bridge is the oldest in the county, the third oldest covered bridge in Pennsylvania and third oldest of its structural system (known as Town Lattice Truss) in the country.
We believe covered bridges are an essential part of Bucks County’s identity and history that must be preserved and celebrated. Therefore, Made in Morrisville is dedicating a portion of the proceeds to the Bucks County Covered Bridge Society.
